Celebrate with us!

Our Autumn Concert is nearly here

Saturday 6th November 2021 at 7.30pm Christ Church, Stone ST15 8ZB

Arrive at 7.00pm to enable safe entry.

We are happy to announce that we will be performing in a ‘proper’ concert again after 18 months of absence. Come and join us to listen to two joyful works of celebration.

The choir first performed Stuart Johnson’s Missa Celebra at our 50th anniversary concert and we love to sing these lively movements. If you have never heard this ‘home-grown’ composition written especially for Stone Choral Society then now is your chance!

The soprano soloist is Andrea Tweedale who will take the soaring parts in the Laudamus Te, Sanctus, Osanna and Benedictus. It will be her first time singing with Stone Choral Society and we are sure that the audience will give her a warm welcome.

Vivaldi’s Gloria starts with a rousing first movement and thereafter further sections contrast with a blend of full choir and soloists. Although a well known work its freshness and appeal in today’s time cannot fail to enthrall How amazing to realise it is over four hundred years old.

Pre- book your tickets £10 (free for under 16s) available from 01889 883878 or info@stonechoral.org.uk
